NEW YORK MASTER CLASS
ABOUT KEN'S MASTER CLASSKen teaches an ongoing master class for professional actors in New York. An artistic home for actors at every level of the film, television, and theater industry, Ken’s class offers a clear, direct, dynamic, custom-tailored approach, a challenging yet safe and supportive creative environment, flexible scheduling, and the finest, most efficient, most effective comprehensive training in the art and craft of acting you will find anywhere.
Ken's class is a special combination of resources:
It is an ongoing class in acting technique — a place where you can learn, gain confidence, expand your creative range, and develop a sure, powerful, adaptable working process
It is an actor’s gymnasium — a place where you can tune your acting instrument, reconnect with artistic goals, explore new kinds of work, practice, and hone your skills
It is a coaching platform — a place where you can get specific help with all sorts of upcoming auditions and current projects
Through detailed work on a wide range of comic and dramatic material — contemporary and classical scenes and monologues, songs, commercial copy, and all kinds of film, tv, and theater audition sides — we equip each actor with vocabulary, tools, and skills to approach any acting task on stage or on film with honesty, clarity, depth, and confidence. We place a special emphasis on practical application of actor training and real professional situations. You will grow, take command of your process, and have fun. You will book gigs. You will amaze the people.
CLASS CALENDARKen’s New York master class is ongoing. New actors are admitted by audition and interview at the start of each month (each four-week session). Once admitted, you are welcome whenever your schedule permits — choose once, twice, or three times a week for as many months at a time as you like. Flexible date plans are available for actors with tricky schedules, and class is sometimes available on a drop-in basis — ask for details.
Classes are held in convenient midtown Manhattan studios. Times and locations are subject to change. To ensure a safe, concentrated working environment, auditing is not permitted except for occasional specially scheduled Open House classes.
Space in class each month is limited — it is a good idea to audition and register early. Here is our schedule for the next few months:

HOW TO AUDITION FOR CLASS
Admission to Ken’s master class is by audition and interview. (For actors whose body of work is well-known, an interview is sufficient.) New actors are admitted at the start of each month. Auditions are scheduled individually — email anytime to schedule your appointment.
WHAT TO PREPARE FOR THE AUDITION
Please bring a current headshot and resume, and prepare one brief monologue from a play. The piece should run about two minutes, and it can be contemporary or classical, comic or dramatic. Please choose material for which you would be castable.
